Let the drums roll! The Centre for Unusual Collaborations launched its physical location on 16 September and we call it ‘CuCo’s Nest’. 

Did you know that visual artists help interdisciplinary teams to realise the different meanings of words? And that bacteria in the gut appear to be similar to bacteria on statues, both consisting of porous materials? During the launch event the teams of the Unusual Collaborations grants shared their fascinating experiences of working in highly (unusual!) interdisciplinary research teams.
