CUCo currently funds eleven Unusual Collaborations and nine Spark teams. Teams work on a variety of topics, and may revolve around a specific problem, concept, and/or interdisciplinarity itself. These categories are not exclusive and continue to take shape with each new project that emerges from the initial Spark phase.

Early 2024, two teams completed the full CUCo learning journey for the first time: iPoP-NL: Interdisciplinary Pain Research Platform, and The Power of One. They were followed in 2025 by All in the Same Boat, Playing with the Trouble, and Structures of Strength.
