Amid rising anthropogenic threats, increased longevity, and the escalation of chronic conditions in later life, transitioning from curative to preventive healthcare is essential—a sentiment widely acknowledged.

But is it as simple as “just” that? During the annual conference of the institute 4 Preventive Health, we will explore what steps are truly needed to achieve the necessary transformations. What resources and collaborations are essential to drive this change? How can we ensure that these shifts are equitable and do not exacerbate existing health disparities? In other words, how do we ensure these shifts are “just” for everyone?
