Today’s societal challenges require a ‘multi-perspective approach’: that we cross the boundaries of our own knowledge in order to integrate our perspective with that of others, and gain a deeper and shared understanding of the complexity of these challenges.
Join CUCo, EWUU’s Education Programme and TNO for an exciting hackathon to tackle a real-world sustainability challenge. In this two-day event you will team up with students, researchers and professionals from diverse fields to work on creating a more circular construction sector.
Inspired by the work of the NWO UPSCALE project, you can contribute to addressing this complex systemic challenge by increasing circularity in construction in terms of ‘system’, ‘behavior’, and ‘economy’ changes: what changes are needed in terms of system infrastructure (digital infrastructure, governance and ownership of resources), what changes are needed in the behavior of people and how to make people act in a more circular manner in the construction sector, and which economical system can best support a circular construction industry: community-driven or centralized? How can all these changes be addressed together and which transdisciplinary approaches need to be taken to change this industry for the better.
This is your chance to engage with fresh perspectives, learn from one another, and contribute to a more sustainable future. Don’t miss out—sign up now!
The hackathon is a two-day event on Thursday, February, 6, and Friday, February 7 (both days from 9:00 to 17:00). Registration ends on Thursday, 16 January, 2025.
