Are you interested in complex systems approaches to understanding human behavior? Are you an expert in wearable technology to track health?

The Complexity team will host a one-day symposium in Utrecht on Complex Systems and Wearable Technologies for Health on 30 June from 10:00 to 17:00. This symposium brings together scholars from diverse disciplines to explore how complex systems thinking can deepen our understanding of how and why individuals adopt—and continue to use—wearable technologies such as fitness trackers, smartwatches, and health monitors.

The day will feature a mixture of plenary presentations and group discussions on the drivers of wearable technologies’ adoption and maintenance. The goal is to foster an interdisciplinary dialogue and to co-create a conceptual model of wearable adoption and maintenance. Participants will also have the opportunity to contribute to a follow-up collaborative manuscript.

Academics interested in health technology, behavioral science, systems thinking, complex systems or complexity science, and related fields are warmly encouraged to attend!
