CUCo would like to announce that it is going through a period of strategic reflection, and that a few substantial changes are on the way. The CUCo Board and Team will continue to work on this over the summer. We strive to inform you about CUCo’s new direction in more detail this fall.
Over the past five years, CUCo has developed into a thriving centre of expertise. On the one hand, CUCo strengthens researchers’ interdisciplinary competencies through the Spark training, and on the other hand, CUCo funds the inter- and transdisciplinary collaborations that emerge from this training.
CUCo wouldn’t be CUCo if it didn’t dare to reinvent itself from time to time. We are therefore developing a more integrative learning journey to launch in fall 2026. By that time we also hope to offer tailor-made approaches for longer-running inter- and transdisciplinary consortia.
For now, the above means that:
- The Unusual Collaborations grants will be replaced with an Unusual Collaborations programme in 2026. The call for applications will open in September;
- The Spark workshops scheduled for fall 2025 will be cancelled. No Spark workshops will be organized in spring 2026 either;
- Applications for CUCo’s new learning journey will open in September 2026.
Our mission throughout all this remains the same: to bring a diverse group of early- and mid-career academics together and equip them with resources and capacities to address the most pressing challenges of the age.
Please do not hesitate to reach out at cuco@ewuu.nl if you have any questions about the above.
